چکیده
PurposeLeft Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) as a bridge to heart transplantation (BTT) has been described risk factor for post-heart (HT) sensitization and rejection. Donor-derived cell-free-DNA (dd-cfDNA) test is noninvasive method surveillance of allograft injury. We sought characterize dd-cfDNA in LVAD-BTT recipients compared non-LVAD patients its impact on post-HT outcomes.MethodsPatients who underwent HT our institution between January 2019 July 2022 had at least one result were included the analysis. Patients grouped based presence pre-HT durable LVAD. Dd-cfDNA was considered positive if ≥0.12%. Samples reported <0.12% analyzed 0.11% purpose this analysis.ResultsA total 225 identified. 66 159 included. The median age 56 years similar groups. majority (73%) males. 45 (68%) supported HeartMate 3 number samples per patient both groups (8 [6,10] vs. 8 [4.5,9]) found 67% 64% non-LVAD, respectively. levels (0.119 [0.110, 0.156] 0.117 0.186]; p=0.65). Similarly, there no significant difference incidence cellular antibody-mediated rejection.ConclusionPatients with LVAD prior undergoing not Left outcomes. A

Improvement of Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) in Artificial Heart Using Particle Swarm Optimization
In this approach, the Left ventricular assist pump for patients with left ventricular failure isused. The failure of the left ventricle is the most common heart disease during these days. Inthis article, a State feedback controller method is used to optimize the efficiency of a samplingpump current. Particle Swarm Algorithm, which is a set of rules to update the position andvelocity, is applied...
متن کاملSleeve Gastrectomy and Left Ventricular Assist Device for Heart Transplant
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Heart failure (HF) is a severe obesity-related comorbidity. Many patients with end-stage HF eventually require cardiac transplantation for long-term survival. These patients may be precluded from enrollment in heart transplant programs secondary to morbid obesity. We propose a pathway involving sleeve gastrectomy (SG) for patients with morbid obesity and HF to afford c...
متن کاملBiological Variation of Donor-Derived Cell-Free DNA in Renal Transplant Recipients: Clinical Implications
Background: Previous studies have demonstrated that donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) found in circulating blood of transplant recipientsmay serve as a noninvasive biomarker of allograft rejection. To better interpret the clinicalmeaning of dd-cfDNA, it is essential to understand the biological variation of this biomarker in stable healthy recipients. This report establishes the biological...
متن کاملPost-transplant outcomes of children bridged to transplant with the Berlin Heart EXCOR Pediatric ventricular assist device.
BACKGROUND Recent data suggest that Berlin Heart EXCOR Pediatric (EXCOR) ventricular assist device improves waiting list survival for pediatric heart transplant candidates. Little is known about their post-transplant outcomes. The aim of this analysis was to determine whether there was a difference in early survival for children bridged to transplant with EXCOR versus status 1A pediatric heart ...
متن کاملLeft ventricular assist device therapy improves utilization of donor hearts.
OBJECTIVES We sought to determine the survival experiences of patients bridged to heart transplantation with either intravenous (IV) inotropes or an implantable left ventricular assist device (LVAD). BACKGROUND Because of the operative risks of LVAD implantation and the reported lower mortality associated with inotropic therapy, bridging to heart transplantation with inotropes is thought to b...
